CAN THE POLICE SEARCH MY CAR IF I AM STOPPED FOR A TRAFFIC VIOLATION?

If you have say, illegal narcotics, or some type of contraband sitting on your front seat when you're stopped by law enforcement, absolutely law enforcement can then go and search your vehicle. Other than that, if you're just stopped for a traffic stop, just say for speeding, and the police want to enter your vehicle, you do have a right to refuse.
