That will probably depend on what type of eviction you're going to be starting. For instance if you're going to start an eviction for non-payment of rent, the first requirement is to provide an opportunity for your tenant to pay that rent. That is by giving them a 3 day notice. A lot of times landlord's are under the impression that they cannot evict someone, or a tenant of theirs unless they wait a certain period of time, but that's going to really depend on the type of eviction that you're dealing with.
